3104 H48 aluminum coil is commonly used to produce can lids for beverage cans, beer cans, ropp bottle and other can caps.

Currently, there are 3003, 3004, 3005, 3104, 3105, 5005, 5052, 5182, 5754 and 5454 aluminum alloys used for the overall manufacturing of aluminum cans. Among them, the most commonly used are 3104-h19, 5182 h19 and 5052-h19 aluminum coil.

3104 Aluminum for Lids

3004 aluminum alloy belongs to Al-Mn alloy. The addition of main alloy element Mn, not only improves the mechanical properties, but also doesn't reduce the corrosion resistance of the alloy. 3104-h19 aluminum coil has excellent deep impact and strong corrosion resistance. The plain aluminum coating/oil can play an excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance. Besides, 3104 aluminum cans alloy all can be well used for thinning and stretching, with low earing ratio, good printing effect, reduced material consumption and reduced batch purchase cost.

3104 aluminum sheet coil tensile strength ≥275Mpa, the elongation is up to 20%, and the earing ratio(E)≤4%.

3104 aluminum is usually delivered in big roll in packages of aluminum coil, or it can be slit into aluminum strip on request and delivered in the desired width.

Physical Properties

The physical properties of 3104 H48 aluminum include light weight, high reflectivity, good thermal conductivity and good electrical conductivity.

Mechanical Properties

It is strong, malleable and stretchable. It is suitable for deep drawing processes, stretching and forming without cracking or tearing.

Corrosion resistance

3104 H48 aluminum also has good corrosion resistance and can be applied to the packaging of water or other corrosive objects. It can also be coated with a protective layer, such as lacquer or paint, to further improve its corrosion resistance.
